2008 COMBINED MEETING REPORT, PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO
What a meeting it was!!!

With a record registration of 151, an outstanding faculty and a CME/CE program designed for the practicing Allergist, Allergy Nurses, Asthma Educators and P.A.s featuring up to date information aimed at patient care improvement, the response was enthusiastic.

Many of the attendees commented in the evaluation sheets and in person that what they learned from this meeting was used to improve patient care upon returning to their practice.  One allergist even called to say that he had immediately used his updated knowledge from this meeting in treating his patients. Even one of the Faculty members commented that he used some things he learned from this meeting in teaching his fellows and students upon returning to his teaching position. 

The “Needs Assessment”, or survey, from the attendees indicated an overwhelming desire to return to the same venue for 2009, the Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta.  This is a great location for this meeting and the facilities are conducive for a pleasant learning experience in a relaxed atmosphere.  The conference room, the Exhibitor Hall and the Research Abstract display room are located in one area making access easy for all. And more importantly this meeting affords attendees daily one-on-one discussions with the faculty members during the entire meeting for special patient care problems they may have

The Fiesta Americana is a friendly facility. Most of the hotel staff have been there for a long time and recognize many of the attendees who have been to this meeting previously.  This year one employee from the house-keeping department greeted a physician with “Bienvenidos a su Casa” as she recognized him as a previous attendee.

So, we look forward to another successful CME/CE meeting January 14-18, 2009.
