COMBINED MEETING ON ALLERGY, ASTHMA AND IMMUNOLOGY

The “needs assessment” response at the end of 2007 meeting this year indicated overwhelmingly that the attendees wanted to return once again to the warm and friendly Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta, January 16-20 in 2008.  So here we go again.

The upcoming meeting provides up to 17.25 CME and 20.7 CE hours in the beautiful setting right on the Pacific Ocean.

The program features a faculty of nationally known speakers presenting a broad array of currently important topics for Allergists, Allergy Nurses and Allergy Physician Assistants and any physicians involved in the care of patients with Allergy/Immunology related problems.

The General meeting begins on Thursday morning with A Problem Based Learning session, Management of Mild Persistent Asthma and two talks on Food Allergy for the EAC session.

The Friday morning session by the TAAI includes three important topics on Dermatology for the Allergist and two other timely topics: ASA Office Desensitization and Allergy to Chemotherapeutic Agents. A lunch presentation, SLIT Update, funded by Greer Laboratories and arranged by MarCom International, Inc. will include 1-2 additional CME credits.

The Saturday program by SWAF includes a variety of topics including Management of Asthma in the Senior Citizen and others on clinically relevant Immunology. New topics include the use of Bacterial Vaccines in Allergy and Immunological Development of Food Allergy.

Symposiums on Urticaria and Ophthalmic Allergy are included.
